WORKSHOP ON AWARENESS AGAINST CHILD ABUSE AND CYBER SAFETY

Advanced Academy organized an interesting and important workshop on “Awareness Against Child Abuse and Cyber Safety” for students of Grades 3 to 5 on 10 April 2026.

The programme started with a warm welcome by Ms. Manisha Kapde and Ms. Neesha Lakhlani, followed by the lighting of the lamp. The students were then introduced to an important message — “Your body belongs only to you.” They learned about good touch and bad touch in a simple and clear way.

The most exciting part of the workshop was the skits performed by the teachers. The first skit, “Stranger in the Park,” showed how children should stay away from strangers and be brave by saying “NO,” running away, and telling a trusted adult. The second skit, “The Hidden Danger Nearby,” taught students that sometimes danger can come from people we know, so it is important to listen to our feelings and speak up.

Another skit, “Think Before You Click!”, focused on cyber safety. It showed how talking to strangers online can be risky. Students learned the rule — “Stop, Block, and Tell.”

The last skit, “Everyone is Special,” gave a beautiful message about kindness and not making fun of others. It helped students understand that body shaming is hurtful and wrong.

Students also answered questions during the session, which made the workshop fun and interactive. They were informed about the POCSO Act and the Child Helpline Number 1098.

The workshop ended with important safety rules like being brave, not sharing personal information, and always talking to trusted adults. Director Ms. Timsi Rai appreciated the efforts and encouraged students to stay safe and confident.

Overall, the workshop was very informative, engaging, and helpful for all students.
