TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION AT ADVANCED ACADEMY, INDORE

Indore, September 5, 2026: Teachers’ Day is celebrated across the country every year on September 5 to honour the immeasurable contribution, unwavering dedication, and profound influence of teachers in shaping young minds and strengthening society. The day also commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an eminent philosopher, scholar, statesman, former President of India, and an illustrious teacher. As a tribute to his enduring contribution to education, his birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day.

Advanced Academy, Indore, celebrated Teachers’ Day with great fervour, enthusiasm, and heartfelt gratitude in the school auditorium on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The meticulously curated programme was conceptualised and presented by the students of Grade XII, reflecting their profound admiration, affection, and respect for their teachers and mentors.

The celebration commenced with the soul-stirring rendition of Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This was followed by a gracious welcome address delivered by the Head Girl, Vaishnavi Saxena, and the Head Boy, Kshitij Tiwari. The melodious strains and rhythmic compositions of the school orchestra further enlivened the ambience and set an exuberant tone for the celebrations.

The occasion was graced by Mr Anil Rai (Founder and Director), Dr Savita Rai (Director), Ms Timsi Rai (Director), and Ms Usha Kiran Tomar (Principal). Their presence added distinction to the celebration. Through their insightful and inspiring addresses, they acknowledged the indispensable role of teachers in nurturing character, fostering intellectual growth, and empowering students to realise their potential.

A significant highlight of the programme was the felicitation of teachers of Grades X and XII, who were presented with certificates in recognition of their exceptional academic outcomes during the 2025–26 academic session. The gesture served as a fitting acknowledgement of their commitment, perseverance, and relentless pursuit of academic excellence.

The students presented a captivating repertoire of cultural performances, comprising thought-provoking skits, graceful dance presentations, and melodious musical renditions. Their performances resonated with warmth, creativity, and appreciation, leaving the audience thoroughly enthralled. The celebrations were further enlivened by a series of engaging and entertaining interactive games, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie, spontaneity, and joy.

Adding a deeper dimension to the celebrations, the students collectively took a pledge to uphold integrity, embrace responsibility, and strive to become conscientious torchbearers of the nation. The pledge beautifully encapsulated the values of gratitude, responsibility, and service that teachers endeavour to instil in every learner.

The programme culminated with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms Sapna Malhotra, Coordinator, Grades XI–XII. She commended the students for their thoughtful efforts and exemplary presentation while emphasising the enduring significance of moral and ethical values in shaping individuals of character and conviction.
