Advanced Academy Celebrates National Science Day 2026 with Great Enthusiasm
Indore, 28 February 2026, Advanced Academy, Indore commemorated National Science Day with great zeal and intellectual vibrancy in the School Auditorium. The workshop paid tribute to the historic discovery of the Raman Effect by C. V. Raman, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for his path-breaking contribution to science. The audience was reminded that his Nobel acceptance speech continues to inspire generations of scientists across the globe. Eminent Guest & Enlightening Address
The Guest of Honour, Dr Vidhyadhar Bhaskar Vaidya, Assistant Professor of Agriculture Meteorology, graced the occasion. With 33 years of rich academic and research experience and a Ph.D. in Agri-Meteorology, Dr Vaidya delivered an inspiring lecture aligned with this year’s theme:
“Women and Science: Catalyzing Viksit Bharat”
He interacted enthusiastically with students from Grades 3 to 5, encouraging curiosity, observation, and scientific thinking from an early age. His address emphasised how science plays a pivotal role in shaping daily life, national development, and sustainable progress.
Dr Vaidya was felicitated by the respected dignitaries of the management — Dr Savita Rai, Mrs Timsi Rai, and the Principal, Mrs Usha Kiran Tomar – for his remarkable contribution and thought-provoking session.
The session proudly highlighted the success of Chandrayaan-3 by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), showcasing India’s technological excellence on the global stage. Special appreciation was extended to women scientists whose dedication and expertise played a crucial role in the mission’s success.

Honouring India’s Scientific Heritage
The lecture also shed light on the ancient scholar Varahamihira of Ujjain, who authored one of the earliest systematic treatises on meteorology, reflecting India’s rich and time-honoured scientific legacy.
